About the Musicians
As one of the pioneers of the Celtic harp in America, Kim Robertson’s style and approach to the instrument is uniquely personal. Trained classically on piano and orchestral harp, she brings an original touch to her own compositions and arrangements of Celtic music. Her skill and stage presence as a performer has brought her a loyal following. She has many CDs, among them Shall We Gather, Christmas Lullaby vol 1 & 2, Fig for a Kiss (with Brett Lipshutz) as well as numerous volumes of harp arrangements and instructional videos. Though she makes her home in Wisconsin, she spends a good deal of the year touring both as a solo artist and with other performers.
Over his almost 40 years of playing whistle and flute, Brett Lipshutz has taught flute and whistle in programs such as the Grand Canyon Celtic Arts Academy and the Association Irlandaise in Paris, France. Brett is at equally at home on stage in performance as he is playing for dancing. In addition, he is a baroque flutist and World Language Education Specialist. He recently co-founded Isteach is Amach, an international LGBTQ collective of trad musicians, singers and dancers.
