Nathan Carter
“He has taken the Irish music scene by storm. Now it’s time we shared him with the rest of the world.” — Daniel O’Donnell
Irish singer Nathan Carter has catapulted into stardom, charming audiences on guitar, piano, and accordion. At age 26, he boasts three number-one albums, two number-one singles, and two number-one live performance DVDs. On his debut North American tour, join Nathan, his Irish band, and special guest star Chloe Agnew for a show-stopping mix of songs like “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Wagon Wheel,” and a program packed with old country favorites, Irish folk songs, and adult contemporary classics. Fans of Daniel O’Donnell, Michael Bublé, and Tony Bennett will love this young Irish crooner who is blazing a trail to worldwide success.
Nathan carter is a sensation! In Ireland, he outsold One Direction, Pharrell Williams and Michael Buble, and became the first country act to reach number one in the Irish Charts in 2013, after Garth Brooks, six years before.
Nathan was born on May 28, 1990, growing up in Liverpool. His family originate from Newry in County Down. He soon learned to play the accordion and made trips to Ireland to compete at the Fleadh Ceoil; by the age of 12, he won the All Ireland medals for singing AND the accordion. Nathan soon became a member of the Liverpool Ceili band, playing accordion and piano and eventually started solo performance endeavors in Liverpool and Ireland.
On a trip to Donegal in 2009, Nathan was appearing in cocnert in Buncrana, where he met with songwriter John Farry. Farry was so impressed that representation soon followed and the rest, as they say, is history.
Nathan's recordings include several number one singles, original tunes such as 'Temple Bar', country covers such as 'Good Morning Beautiful,' and Irish Folk favorites such as 'The Town I Loved So Well,' 'Caledonia' and 'Home to Donegal.'
This Fall marks his first ever North American tour, with a stop at The Pabst Theater, here in Milwaukee!
