Song of the Sea

Director: Tomm Moore (Academy Award nominated director of 'The Secret of the Kells')

Ben, a young Irish boy and his little sister Saoirse, a girl who can turn into a seal, go on an adventure to free the fairies and save the spirit world. Saoirse is a child who is the last of the selkies, women in Irish and Scottish legends who transform from seals into people. She escapes from her grandmother's home to journey to the sea and free fairy creatues trapped in the modern world. The film was nominated for an Academy Award in 2015 for Best Animated Feature Film. As enthralling for adults as for children young and old, 'Song of the Sea' is a wonder of magical storytelling and visual splendor (a hand-drawn masterpiece) that is destined to become a classic.

Starring David Rawle, Brendan Gleeson, Lisa Hannigan, Fionnula Flanagan and Lucy O'Connell
